Phase 3A Red Line (Sarjapur - Hebbal) Timeline
Karnataka State Cabinet approved the Sarjapur–Hebbal Phase 3A project at an estimated cost of ₹28,405 crore; the original DPR proposed a 36.6 km corridor with 28 stations.
Following Central Government scrutiny, BMRCL revised the DPR, reducing the cost to ~₹25,999 crore, optimizing the underground configuration, and removing the Veterinary College station; the revised DPR was submitted to the Centre in April 2026.
Target completion: April 2033 (subject to Central Government sanction and statutory approvals).
