Indore Metro (MPMRCL) is an advanced rapid-transit network under active development across the Indore metropolitan region. Phase 1 features the 33.53 km Yellow Line (Line 3) circular ring corridor connecting Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar International Airport, the Super Corridor IT SEZ, MR 10, Vijay Nagar, Palasia, Indore Junction Railway Station, and the historical Rajwada core across 29 stations in Phase 1. As of 4 September 2026, 5 stations on the 5.9 km Super Priority Corridor are commercially operational, with extensions toward Radisson Square scheduled for opening; target completion for the full ring corridor is December 2028.
Indore Metro Proposed Master Plan Network
The Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL) has formulated a 124 km proposed master plan network for the Indore metropolitan region across Lines 1A, 1B, 2, 3 and 4. While Phase 1 actively delivers the 33.53 km Yellow Line (Line 3) ring corridor, future proposed radial lines will expand connectivity across the wider urban and industrial growth zones, complemented by separate regional links:
Line 3 (Yellow Line Ring Corridor - 33.53 km)
The primary circular ring corridor connecting Super Corridor, Bhawarsala, MR 10, Vijay Nagar, Radisson, Khajrana, Bengali Square, Palasia, High Court, Railway Station, Rajwada, and the Airport across 29 stations in Phase 1.
Line 1A & 1B (Proposed Red Line: Sri Aurobindo to Collectorate / Regional Park)
A planned ~15–17 km north-south arterial corridor proposed to link major healthcare institutions like Sri Aurobindo Hospital to the Central Collectorate and Regional Park.
Line 2 (Proposed Green Line: Sukhlia to Dewas Naka)
A planned ~10 km east-west industrial corridor proposed to connect the Sukhlia residential zones with the Dewas Naka transport hub.
Line 4 (Proposed Blue Line: MR 9 to AIIMS Indore / Bypass)
A planned radial corridor proposed to connect MR 9, Bypass, and the AIIMS Indore healthcare and institutional campus.
Indore–Ujjain Proposed Regional Transit / Vande Metro Link
A separate planned semi-high-speed regional transit corridor connecting Indore Metro at Super Corridor / Bhawarsala to the pilgrimage city of Ujjain ahead of the 2028 Simhastha Kumbh Mela.
