The Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation (JMRC) and Rajasthan Metro Rail Corporation Limited (RMRCL) are expanding the urban rail network from its operational 11.64 km Pink Line into a comprehensive citywide rapid transit network:
Line 1 — Pink Line (Phase 1A + Phase 1B: 11.64 km Operational)
Fully operational east-west arterial spine connecting Mansarovar residential hub, Civil Lines, Jaipur Junction, Sindhi Camp bus terminal, and the historic UNESCO World Heritage Walled City landmarks of Chandpole, Chhoti Chaupar, and Badi Chaupar across 11 stations (8 elevated, 3 underground).
Line 1 Extensions — Phase 1C (2.85 km) & Phase 1D (1.35 km)
Two active under-construction extensions: Phase 1C extends eastward from Badi Chaupar to Transport Nagar on Agra Road (NH-21) via Ramganj Chaupar (0.97 km UG + 1.88 km elevated, 2 stations); Phase 1D extends south-west from Mansarovar to 200 Feet Bypass at Ajmer Road Chauraha (1.35 km elevated, 1 station).
Line 2 — Phase 2 (North–South Corridor), commonly referred to as Orange Line (41.0 km)
Approved with construction packages underway following Union Cabinet sanction in April 2026 at ₹13,037.66 Cr. Spans 41.0 km across 36 stations (34 elevated, 2 underground) from Prahladpura in the south to Todi Mod in the north, including Sanganer PS and Jaipur Airport underground stations, and planned interchange with Phase 1 at Khasa Kothi. Target completion: September 2031 (Foundation stone laid July 2026).
