The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is finalizing the detailed project report (DPR) and initiated land acquisition 3D survey notifications for the 112 km greenfield alignment connecting Kanpur to Kabrai.

A final construction contractor or BOT concessionaire should not be named yet. The project is being procured by NHAI on a BOT (Toll) basis, and the current NHAI tender covers development of the greenfield section together with operation and maintenance/improvement works on the existing Kanpur-Kabrai NH-34 section. Therefore, tender-stage bidders should not be presented as the awarded contractor.
