The Pune–Sambhajinagar Expressway, also widely known as the Pune Aurangabad Expressway, is a proposed high-speed corridor connecting Pune, Ahilyanagar and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Developed as a multi-phase corridor by MSIDC, Phase 1, the Pune–Shirur Elevated Corridor, has been awarded and is currently in mobilisation and pre-construction planning. Phase 2 proposes a new greenfield expressway between Shirur and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, while Phase 3 is a long-term Pune–Shirur greenfield expansion intended to support future traffic growth. The overall corridor aims to reduce travel times between Pune and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and strengthen connectivity with the Samruddhi Mahamarg and industrial zones across Maharashtra.
