Agra Metro Rail is a mass rapid transit system serving the historical city of Agra, Uttar Pradesh. Implemented by Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (UPMRC), a 50:50 joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Uttar Pradesh, the 29.4 km Phase 1 network comprises two corridors connecting key urban nodes, railway stations, and heritage areas.
Agra Metro Phase 1 Corridors
Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (UPMRC), a 50:50 joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Uttar Pradesh, is constructing the 29.4 km Agra Metro Phase 1 network across two key corridors:
Line 1 (Operational Section): Taj East Gate to Mankameshwar
6.0 km operational priority section with 6 stations (3 elevated, 3 underground) open to the public since 6 March 2024.
Line 1 (Under Construction): Mankameshwar to Sikandra
7.7 km under-construction western extension toward Sikandra across 8 stations (4 underground: Medical College, Raja Ki Mandi, RBS College, Ambedkar University; 4 elevated: Shastri Nagar, ISBT, Guru ka Taal, Sikandra).
Line 2 (Under Construction): Agra Cantt to Kalindi Vihar
15.7 km active under-construction corridor connecting Agra Cantt to Kalindi Vihar across 14 elevated stations.
